Welcome to BytesFree.org. We are a group of concerned citizens dedicated to the principles of information rights and guided by the notion that everyone deserves the right to access information they legally possess. We are in the process of filing articles of incorporation as a non-profit organization in the state of California.

Current Initiatives

Currently, we have launched or are involved in the following projects:

  • Lug Radio Live USA - This event is held in San Francisco on April 12 - 13 and marks the first-ever booth for BytesFree.org. Ilan and John Mark will present an introduction to BytesFree.org on Sunday, April 13 at 3:30 pm.
  • Voter Information Project - This wiki-based project aims to collect information about current office-holders and candidates for office. There’s not much there yet - look for a major overhaul at Lug Radio Live.
  • BytesFree.org Pledge - Look for an info page and an official launch at Lug Radio Live. This will be a page where you can see which politicians and electoral candidates have pledged to uphold the principles of information rights.
